The cost of having a New Jersey physician’s contract reviewed by a lawyer can vary depending on several factors, including the complexity of the contract, the lawyer’s experience and expertise, and the location where the lawyer is practicing. It is best to consult with lawyers in your area to get an accurate estimate of the costs involved.
Some lawyers may charge an hourly rate for their services, while others may offer a flat fee for contract review. Hourly rates can range from $200 to $500 or more, depending on the lawyer’s experience and the region. Flat fees can also vary, depending on the length and complexity of the contract.
In addition to the review itself, some lawyers may charge additional fees for follow-up consultations, negotiations, or revisions to the contract.
Romanowsky Law uses a hybrid approach. Once Brian reviews the complexity of your contract offer, he will provide you with a flat fee quote. That quote specifies that he will review your entire contract, and provide you with his written comments. Also included in that flat fee is an unlimited online meeting to discuss his comments, and to answer any questions you may have. By the time that is done, you will fully understand the implications of the contract which has been presented to you.
If you wish change the contract, Brian can negotiate that process for you. In that case, his fee changes to an hourly basis. This is because there is no way to know up front how many issues you may insist be changed, the amount of negotiation which may be required to resolve an issue, and how efficient the employer’s counsel is during the negotiation process.
